A missionary family needing a place to stay

As you’ll see this isn’t one of my usual blogs. However, I wanted to let all you local people know about a need for some very dear people who have been actively engaged in an outreach which is close to my heart. A missionary couple, Jon and Anita Hinkson who work in campus ministry (Rivendell Institute) at Yale University with Campus Crusade for Christ have recently come to Fort Collins with their three young daughters in pursuit of medical treatment for the wife and mother Anita. They have been house-sitting for a couple here in Fort Collins who had planned to be away for the year but now are having to return for health reasons. Consequently they are having to look for other accommodations. Ideally they are hoping for another house-sit opportunity where they would cover all expenses and perform all the upkeep, although they would be able to pay a modest rent if need be. Jon has been on staff with Campus Crusade for over 20 years and grew up in Europe with missionary parents. Anita has worked in television in New York City. Before coming to Colorado they had home-schooled their children but now due to health issues they are enrolled in Fort Collins schools which would make a Fort Collins living situation preferable if possible. If you can think of any potential opportunities or would like to find out more about Jon and Anita you may contact them at: Jon.Hinkson@Yale.edu or 203-215-5835.

  1. David, through a connection with one of the professors at CSU, the Hinkson family has found a place to stay here in Fort Collins. I don’t know all the details, but Jon did communicated to me that he so appreciated all the prayers of those who had had been praying for his family’s situation. Thank you for following up.
