Description:
Wherever you are on your spiritual journey, come and explore the essential elements of God’s story in the Bible as we ask the critical questions of how to live as a disciple of Jesus in our own culture. We will seek to be a grace-filled learning community where it is safe to ask questions and not know all the answers. We will be using the highly readable book, A Handbook of the Christian Faith by John Schwarz.
While our primary goal in this class is for each of us to get into the Bible, we’re excited for everyone to get a hold of this book by John Schwarz. It’s an easy-to-read handbook which offers a fantastic guide to the Christian faith, accomplishing its subtitle well: “What you need to know about [the faith’s] Scriptures, its history, its beliefs and practices, and what distinguishes it from other religions.”

Courageous Hearts is a look at the Christian journey - a journey where we will together study how to live an abundant life in Christ and to experience inner joy in all circumstances. This class will offer new insights on issues such as fear, anger, depression, impatience, struggling relationships, addictions, a need to control others, etc. You will learn how and when to guard your heart from the enemy and be the person God created you to be. In this 10-week class based on Matt 22:37-40, we will study what it looks like to really love God with all your heart.
